Seedance 2.5: ByteDance’s Next Video Upgrade — ~50 References & 30-Second Clips (Coming Soon).

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance’s reported next-generation upgrade to the Seedance 2.0 video family — the quality-and-capacity counterpart to the cheaper Seedance 2.0 Mini. Where Mini trims cost, 2.5 pushes scale: far more reference images, much longer clips, and higher fidelity on the same multimodal engine.

It’s not out yet. ByteDance hasn’t officially released Seedance 2.5 or confirmed a date — most of what’s circulating comes from third-party platforms and industry reports. We’re tracking it, and it’s marked Coming soon in getvivix Studio.

What’s expected from Seedance 2.5

Reports frame 2.5 as a major step up over Seedance 2.0 on two fronts especially — how many references it can hold, and how long a clip it can produce:

• Up to ~50 reference images — feed a whole cast, wardrobe, and set of style refs into one generation, not just a handful.
• Clips up to 30 seconds — double the 15-second ceiling of the 2.0 line in a single render.
• Higher output quality — sharper detail and cleaner textures.
• Better motion & coherence — steadier subjects and identities across longer clips.
• Stronger prompt adherence — closer match between brief and result.
• Same multimodal inputs — text / image / reference / audio, native audio out.

Exact figures beyond that are unconfirmed — we won’t quote benchmark numbers until ByteDance publishes them or we can test the model ourselves.
